We pride ourselves on being good hosts.  Whether you need physical or virtual hosting, you can trust that you're in good hands.

Physical Hosting

AICT can install and physically host rack-mounted servers for your department within one of our three data centres on campus.

We are certain we can meet your requirements.  Everything from installing and cabling your hardware through to providing you with network access for the system is accomplished based on your needs.

Physically accessing the data centre can even be granted on a temporary 24/7 basis.

While you may not be able to physically walk-in anytime, you can rest assured that your server is taken care of.  We provide Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) Protection for all servers, and our chill environment will ensure that your machines will never overheat.

Virtual Hosting

AICT can provide the necessary infrastructure for Virtual Server Hosting, with the option of being fully redundant, with multiple solutions available to you:

  1. Hosting only
  2. Hosting and system administration
  3. Hosting, system administration, and full application hosting

Ask anything of us: we can customize a virtual machine for CPU, memory, network, and storage needs.

We even have the resources to convert a physical server into a virtual machine, or we can create a brand new virtual machine for you.

VMs are hosted within our data centres.

 

Application and Web Hosting

Curb your app-etite with AICT.  We can provide you with centrally hosted web-based applications and databases.

Standard features of this service include the setup and monitoring of services, and backups with Bacula.

For an additional cost, further options are available to you:

  • Backups with Commvault or Avamar
  • We can also provide you with system administration and database administration support
  • Need a different environment?  Any of the following can be arranged:
    • Test environment
    • User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environment
    • Development (DEV) environment
    • Other environments, too!
  • Failover setup
  • High availability setup
